KAND Rowing Club Expands to the Gold Coast

A New Era for High Performance Rowing on the Gold Coast

KAND Rowing Club is excited to announce the expansion of our operations to the Gold Coast, marking a significant step forward in our mission to provide more opportunities for athletes pursuing excellence in rowing.

For many of our Gold Coast-based athletes, attending training sessions in Brisbane has often meant travelling more than an hour each way. While their commitment and dedication have been outstanding, we recognised the need to bring high-quality training opportunities closer to home. Our new Gold Coast training base will allow athletes greater access to coaching, equipment, and training sessions while significantly reducing travel demands.

This exciting expansion will also provide a dedicated venue for training camps and campaign preparation, creating an environment where athletes can immerse themselves in focused blocks of training leading into major competitions and events.

We are equally excited to be collaborating with CHHPC (Chris Holliday High Performance Coaching) as part of this initiative. By sharing facilities, equipment, coaching resources, and expertise, both organisations are able to create greater opportunities for athletes than either could achieve alone. The partnership has already proven highly successful and demonstrates the power of working together to support athlete development.
